What you Will Do:

You will oversee all accounting processing for the company. With the help from administrative employees, you will process full cycle accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, operating cost reconciliations, and familiarity with ERP systems such as Sage 50,100&300, Yardi, and Procore.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis - 

• Month-end reconciliation
• Complete the general ledger
• Reconcile credit card statements
• Accounts receivable
• Accounts payable

Compliances - 

• Audits 
• GST remittances

Systems & Process Improvement - 

• Help refine internal systems as the firm continues to grow

What Makes you a Great Fit:

You are a highly experienced accountant with comprehensive knowledge of compliance regulations and audit standards, along with demonstrated expertise in Sage 50 & 300 and the preparation and analysis of internal reports.

You will bring

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, 
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience within a construction space 
• CPA designation, or actively pursuing 
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field
• General Yardi and Procore comprehension

Leadership Abilities 

Mentor and lead team members, including providing feedback, training, and general support.

Accounting Knowledge 

Comprehensive understanding of accounting and reconciliation methods and processes relevant to the position.

Technical Proficiency 

Extensive understanding of how to navigate Sage50, Excel and other Microsoft software.

Organization 

Can effectively organize and coordinate all documentation and paperwork. You can prioritize tasks, anticipate needs, and ensure efficient workflows to meet deadlines/objectives.

Team Collaboration 

Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, ownership, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth transfer of information.

Risk Management 

Ability to assess and mitigate risks associated with construction projects, ensuring potential issues are identified and addressed proactively.

Decision-Making 

Sound judgement and decision-making skills to make informed decisions that impact progress and outcomes.
