Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and meaningful conversation in Spanish
- Assist with personal care, including:
- Bathing
- Grooming
- Dressing
- Toileting and incontinence care
- Mobility assistance and transfers
- Safely operate and assist clients using a Hoyer lift
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Accompany clients to appointments and community outings
- Observe and report changes in client condition
- Complete care documentation and communicate with the office team
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Minimum 2 years of professional caregiving, home support, or personal care experience
- Demonstrated experience providing hands-on personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance
- Experience and training in operating a Hoyer lift are required
- Comfortable assisting clients with mobility challenges and transfers
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle (required)
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, professional attitude
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
- CPR/First Aid certification is considered a strong asset
- Food Safe certification is an asset
- Previous experience supporting seniors with dementia, mobility limitations, or complex care needs
- Experience working independently in clients' homes
- Residents of Richmond or nearby communities are encouraged to apply
