Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate Personal Support Workers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

Companionship and conversation
Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
Medication and appointment reminders
Assistance with grooming and bathing
Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
Alzheimer’s Care *Previous experience not necessary but is an asset* *Skills training and ongoing training provided by Home Instead*

Requirements To Be a Care Professional

Ability to treat and care for community members and their property with dignity and respect
Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
Complete a criminal background check, 2 professional and 2 personal references
Possess a valid driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle.
Driver’s abstract is required
Possess a computer and a cell phone

Caregiving in any capacity: 1 year (Preferred) Location:

Assisting clients with personal hygiene and getting dressed
Assisting clients with housekeeping or other daily errands
Providing companionship and emotional support
Observing and reporting on changes in the health or status of the client
Preparing food and feeding clients
Transporting client to appointments
Assisting clients with rehabilitative exercises

Responsibilities

Provide non-medical in-home support to older adults, including companionship, personal hygiene assistance, housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and Alzheimer’s care. Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, provide emotional support and rehabilitative exercise assistance, and transport clients to appointments as needed.

Requirements

Applicants must treat clients and their property with dignity and respect, communicate in a friendly manner, and complete a criminal background check with two professional and two personal references. A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, driver’s abstract, computer, and cell phone are required; caregiving experience is preferred but not necessary, and training is provided.
