Original job description

A career at Horizon is for those who want to do something extraordinary, yet with meaningful purpose. We take pride in pushing the boundaries of technology and customer experience to deliver something that has never been done before. We are a fast-moving organization that promotes a hands-on approach, supporting each other through the tough spots, generating a close-knit team with a family feel.

What we do here is hard, but then very few things worth achieving are easy. By joining Horizon, you will have the opportunity to work with our world-class entrepreneurial team who are passionate about delivering something special.

What we need you to bring.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and manage our X7 development program.

Your Day- To-Day

Plan, schedule, and track cross-functional workstreams across the program, from design through build, integration, and test.
Build and maintain integrated master schedules, identifying critical path, dependencies, and schedule risk.
Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and flight test teams to keep deliverables aligned with program milestones.
Manage external suppliers and partners, including statements of work, deliverable tracking, and performance against schedule and budget.
Organize and support program and design reviews (ARR, PDR, CDR, etc.), and drive action items to closure.
Maintain risk, issue, and opportunity registers, and work with owners to execute mitigation plans.
Track budget, resource loading, and progress against plan, flagging variances early.
Support configuration and change control, ensuring cost, schedule, and interface impacts are assessed before changes are approved.
Prepare clear, concise status reports and dashboards for the Head of Programs and leadership.
Help develop and improve program tools, processes, and working methods as the team scales.

We are looking for people with demonstrated experience (5 + years) in project management within aerospace programs. You will have;

5+ years of project management within aerospace programs, ideally in aircraft development, integration, or flight test.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience building and managing integrated schedules using MS Project, Easy8 WorkOps, or similar tools.
A working knowledge of the aircraft development lifecycle and systems engineering, including requirements, interfaces, and verification.
Experience managing suppliers and subcontractors, including SOWs, deliverables, and performance tracking.
An understanding of certification and airworthiness frameworks (Transport Canada, FAA, or EASA).
Hands-on experience with risk management, change control, and configuration management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present status and issues clearly to leadership.
Comfort operating in a fast-paced startup environment with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
Preferred certification: PMP or similar project management certification.
Assets: experience with eVTOL, hybrid-electric propulsion, or composite structures.

About Your Future Team.

As part of the team, you will tackle challenges and deliver something that has never been done before. You will join a small team of specialists, which provides significant latitude in developing our working methods alongside needs of developing the platform.

Our Benefits.

People are the heart of our success, and we like to provide transparency in the way we operate. This is why our benefits are beyond the normal, and we are constantly trying to improve these further.

No Holiday Cap
Hybrid Work Options
Company Paid Group Benefits Plan
