Operate and understand the building fire alarm panel and assist with emergency building systems as required.
Coordinate with contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and with minimal disruption to hotel operations.
Maintain organized mechanical spaces, workshops and inventory of maintenance materials and spare parts.
Maintain detailed shift logs and communicate equipment status, outstanding issues and completed work with the Facilities team.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate is a mechanically inclined, safety-focused professional with strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for maintaining high-performance facilities.

Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical building systems.
Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
Ability to read technical manuals, equipment documentation and mechanical drawings.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as PMXpert or similar software.
Understanding of fire and life safety systems and emergency building procedures.
Ability to prioritize multiple work orders in a fast-paced operational environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physically capable of lifting, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces and performing manual tasks safely.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying potential equipment failures.
Support a safe working environment while following all Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
Deliver exceptional service to guests, tenants and fellow team members.
