Original job description
HR Partnering is recruiting for Giorgetti Toronto's new showroom. This role is for Giorgetti Toronto; HR Partnering is the recruiter posting it.
About the Role
Giorgetti Toronto is building its opening team, and we are looking for an experienced Sales Associate to join us.
This is not a conventional retail position. Our clients expect expertise, discretion, preparation and thoughtful guidance. You will need to understand a client's lifestyle, interpret architectural and design requirements, and develop complete furniture and interior proposals rather than simply selling individual products.
The right person is polished, highly organized, commercially motivated, and genuinely interested in architecture, furniture, interiors and design.
About Giorgetti
Founded in 1898 in Meda, Italy, Giorgetti began as a cabinetmaking workshop dedicated to the highest standards of woodworking and craftsmanship. Over more than 125 years it has become one of Italy's most respected luxury furniture and interior design brands while keeping the artisanal knowledge and attention to detail that defined its origins.
Giorgetti represents a distinct expression of contemporary Italian design: sophisticated rather than decorative, innovative without being fashionable, and created with an exceptional understanding of materials, proportion, comfort and craftsmanship. Every Giorgetti product is conceived and manufactured in Italy.
Today Giorgetti works internationally across luxury residential interiors, private residences, hospitality, yachts, corporate environments and real estate developments, collaborating with leading architects, interior designers, developers and sophisticated private clients.
About Giorgetti Toronto
Giorgetti Toronto is being established as an important new destination within Canada's luxury design market. The showroom will introduce clients to the complete Giorgetti universe while serving private homeowners, interior designers, architects, developers and other professionals working at the highest end of the residential and contract markets.
Our goal is to create a showroom experience that reflects the standards of the Giorgetti brand: knowledgeable, refined, personal and highly professional. We are looking for people who are genuinely interested in design and who understand that successful luxury sales are built through knowledge, listening, trust, service and exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome private clients, interior designers, architects and other professionals into the Giorgetti Toronto showroom.
- Deliver a sophisticated, knowledgeable and highly personalized client experience.
- Understand client requirements, budgets, timelines, aesthetic preferences and technical project considerations.
- Present the Giorgetti collection with confidence and communicate the value of the brand's design, materials, craftsmanship and customization capabilities.
- Develop furniture selections and complete room proposals in collaboration with clients and design professionals.
- Advise clients on finishes, materials, dimensions, configurations and product combinations.
- Prepare quotations, product specifications, presentations, finish selections and sales documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Follow each opportunity consistently from initial showroom appointment through quotation, deposit, order confirmation, production, delivery and after-sales service.
- Build and maintain a personal client book and generate repeat and referral business.
- Develop relationships with local designers, architects, real estate professionals and luxury homeowners.
- Maintain accurate client, project and follow-up information in the company CRM.
- Achieve individual and showroom sales targets.
- Support showroom events, product presentations, installations and private client appointments.
- Develop a strong technical understanding of the Giorgetti collection.
- Help ensure that the showroom, product displays, samples and materials are maintained to an exceptional standard.
Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in luxury furniture, interiors, kitchens, lighting, fashion, jewelry, hospitality, real estate, or another high-touch premium sales environment.
- A demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- A genuine interest in furniture, architecture, interiors and contemporary design.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to translate client needs into appropriate recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence working with both private clients and professional interior designers.
- Strong numerical accuracy and experience preparing detailed quotations or proposals.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- The ability to manage multiple clients, projects and deadlines without losing attention to detail.
- Professional presentation, emotional intelligence and discretion.
- Comfort using CRM systems, Microsoft Office and digital presentation tools.
- The curiosity and discipline required to develop strong product and material knowledge.
- Availability to work Saturdays and attend occasional evening client or showroom events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education or professional experience in interior design, architecture, furniture, or a related field.
- Familiarity with floor plans, specifications, finishes, custom orders and project-based sales.
- Additional languages.
What Success Looks Like
- You become a trusted advisor to both private clients and design professionals.
- You develop strong Giorgetti product knowledge and maintain a disciplined follow-up process.
- You manage projects accurately and consistently convert qualified opportunities into sales.
- You build relationships and generate business rather than simply waiting for showroom traffic.
- You combine the service standards of luxury hospitality with the commercial instinct of an excellent salesperson and the curiosity of someone who genuinely appreciates design.
Schedule
Availability to work Saturdays and attend occasional evening client or showroom events is required.
Benefits
- The opportunity to join the opening team of Giorgetti Toronto.
- The opportunity to represent one of Italy's most distinguished luxury furniture and interior design brands.
- Exposure to exceptional Italian design, craftsmanship, materials and production.
- Extensive product and brand training.
- Competitive base compensation with a performance-based sales incentive.
- A sophisticated, professional and design-focused working environment.
- Direct interaction with designers, architects, private clients and major residential projects.
- Opportunities for professional advancement as the Giorgetti Toronto business develops.
