Job Description:

HR Project Partners is currently accepting résumés for a Recruiter on behalf of one of our clients. In this role, the successful candidate will develop, facilitate, and execute all phases of the recruitment cycle, while partnering with hiring managers to ensure an efficient, consistent, and positive hiring experience.

This is a St. John’s‑based, in‑office position. The role is a 3–6 month contract, with the possibility of extension depending on organizational needs.

Essential Job Functions:

Identifies and drafts detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the organization’s needs.
Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
Schedules interviews; oversees the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers.
Utilize a recruitment system for the entire recruitment process.
Collaborates with the hiring manager and organization team members during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, start dates, and further details.
Ensures compliance with provincial employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
Attends and participates in university job fairs and recruiting sessions.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
Registered Professional Recruiter designation is an asset.
At least five years of managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is highly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for various roles.
Proactive and independent with the ability to take the initiative.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
