Original job description

A path for every ambition.

At HUB, we believe the best work happens when people are given real space to grow and then given the autonomy to exercise it. We power progress and protect ambition: for the clients who count on us, and equally for the people who make that possible every day.

We’re creative thinkers and determined doers, guided by values that show up in how we work together: with empathy, adaptability, accountability and a genuine commitment to one another’s success. We foster bold ideas, celebrate curiosity and share what we know. Because when people grow, the work they do grows with them.

Our purpose is deeply human: to help people navigate the world on their terms, at their speed, toward their future. We hold that same commitment to the people building careers here.

Whether you’re starting out or leveling up, you’ll find the resources to evolve, the support to take on more and a team ready to back you at every stage.

Your ambition has a home here.

The Opportunity

This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in the insurance industry from the ground up. Based in our Grande Prairie office, this role blends broker support with administrative and reception duties, making it a great fit for someone who is organized, client-focused, and ready to work toward their insurance license. You will work alongside experienced advisors and play a key role in keeping the branch running smoothly.

What You'll Do

Support personal lines brokers with day-to-day service activities, including coverage inquiries, policy changes, renewals, and client documentation
Provide backup broker support when the primary advisor is on vacation or leave
Manage front-desk and reception duties, including greeting clients and handling incoming calls
Maintain and monitor Data Control Reports, including Not Yet Renewed, Unbilled, In Process, PRBR Corrections, and Accounting Activities
Enter client information, activities, and notes accurately into the brokerage management system
Take and record claim information, submit to the insurance company, and flag to the appropriate team
Assist with accounts receivable collection and management
Participate in branch sales and marketing initiatives as directed
Work toward obtaining your insurance license, with support from the team

What We're Looking For

Working toward or open to obtaining a General Insurance license (NWT/Nunavut); existing Level 1 license is a strong asset
Previous experience in a client-facing, administrative, or office support role
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data and reports
Organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a branch environment
Clear, professional communication with clients and colleagues
Comfortable working independently while supporting a small team

Ready to join HUB and build a career in a rapidly growing industry? Apply today!

What we offer you

We invest in your growth. HUB offers structured training, licensing support and ongoing development opportunities designed to accelerate your career.

Competitive pay with comprehensive health benefits, retirement savings matching and company-paid life and disability plans
Generous paid time off, paid parental leave and a wellbeing program designed to support real work/life balance
A collaborative, high-performing culture with meaningful engagement, community impact through HUB Gives and genuine room to grow your career
