About the Role

As Operations Manager, you will oversee day-to-day business operations while helping drive continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects, inventory, logistics, customer support, and commercial activities are executed effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Lead daily business operations, including production coordination, scheduling, inventory management, logistics, and customer support.
Develop and coach team members while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Establish and monitor key performance metrics to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Coordinate activities across operations, sales, engineering, purchasing, and service teams.
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives and operational best practices.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.

Customer & Commercial Support

Support business development efforts and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
Assist with quotations, contract reviews, and project execution from order entry through delivery.
Partner with sales teams to identify opportunities for growth within existing and new markets.
Serve as a technical and commercial resource for customers involving lifting, rigging, crane, and heavy equipment applications.
Represent the business during customer visits, trade shows, and industry events as needed.

Financial & Business Management

Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management activities.
Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and purchasing processes to drive operational efficiency.
Contribute to strategic planning and operational decision-making.
Lead initiatives that improve margins and overall business performance.

Qualifications

Required Experience

5-10 years of operational leadership experience within industrial, crane, rigging, lifting, heavy equipment, manufacturing, or related industries.
Strong customer-facing and business support experience.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, small-business environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ERP/MRP systems and operational reporting.
Knowledge of crane operations, rigging equipment, lifting systems, hydraulic equipment, or heavy industrial applications.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Leadership opérationnel

Diriger les opérations quotidiennes, y compris la planification des activités, la gestion des stocks, la logistique et le service à la clientèle.
Encadrer et développer les membres de l’équipe tout en favorisant une culture axée sur la sécurité, la responsabilisation et l’amélioration continue.
Établir et suivre les indicateurs de performance clés afin d’améliorer l’efficacité, la rentabilité et la satisfaction de la clientèle.
Coordonner les activités entre les équipes des opérations, des ventes, de l’ingénierie, des achats et du service.
Identifier et mettre en œuvre des initiatives d’amélioration des processus et des meilleures pratiques opérationnelles.
Veiller au respect des politiques de l’entreprise, des normes de sécurité et des exigences réglementaires applicables.

Soutien aux clients et au développement commercial

Soutenir les initiatives de développement des affaires et maintenir de solides relations avec les clients clés.
Participer à la préparation des soumissions, à la révision des contrats et à l’exécution des projets, de la commande à la livraison.
Collaborer avec les équipes des ventes afin d’identifier des occasions de croissance dans les marchés existants et nouveaux.
Agir comme ressource technique et commerciale auprès des clients pour les applications liées aux grues, au gréage, au levage et aux équipements industriels.
Représenter l’entreprise lors de visites chez les clients, de salons professionnels et d’événements de l’industrie au besoin.

Gestion financière et administrative

Participer aux activités de budgétisation, de prévisions financières et de contrôle des coûts.

Qualifications

Expérience requise

De 5 à 10 ans d’expérience dans un rôle de gestion des opérations au sein d’un environnement industriel, manufacturier, de levage, de gréage, d’équipements lourds ou similaire.
Expérience démontrée dans un rôle orienté vers le client et le soutien aux activités commerciales.
Capacité éprouvée à gérer plusieurs priorités dans un environnement dynamique.
Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office et des systèmes de gestion d’entreprise.

Qualifications privilégiées
