Overview
Working within the Non-Energy Billing (NEB) team under Customer Service & Billing Operations, the successful candidate will support a customer-focused finance operation responsible for billing, revenue management, customer account administration, reporting, and operational support activities. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across Hydro One teams while gaining practical experience in analytics, reporting, automation, and operational improvement.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with data, technology, and business operations to solve problems and improve outcomes. They are naturally curious, detail-oriented, and interested in finding ways to streamline processes, automate repetitive tasks, improve reporting capabilities, and enhance both customer and employee experiences while supporting the team's billing and revenue management objectives.
As a Customer Operations Innovation Analyst Co-op, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience that will complement your academic studies. You will work collaboratively with the NEB team in the following areas:
- Business analytics and data-driven decision making
- Reporting, dashboard development, and data visualization
- Process improvement and innovation initiatives
- Workflow automation and digital transformation projects

Responsibilities :
- Assist with the analysis of customer billing, revenue, and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Support the development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives by documenting current processes, identifying pain points, and recommending efficiencies.
- Assist in evaluating manual and repetitive activities and support the design and testing of automation solutions using tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Contribute to special projects focused on improving customer experience, operational effectiveness, and business performance.
- Conduct research and analysis to support business cases, improvement initiatives, and management reporting.
- Collaborate with team members to gather business requirements and translate operational needs into reporting and analytical solutions.
- Support data quality reviews and assist in validating reports, metrics, and business information used for decision-making.
- Create process maps, training materials, and documentation to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to team members and leadership throughout the work term.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization, and contribute to projects

Job Requirements :
- Discipline: Business Analytics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Commerce, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Academic Level: Second Year or higher completed.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, Python, VBA, or similar technologies is considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated interest in analytics, automation, reporting, and operational improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and contribute.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

The base salary for this role considers a variety of factors, including candidates' knowledge, skills, experience, education, and any applicable collective agreement requirements for union-represented positions.
