We are searching for talented employees to help us build the clean fuel technologies of tomorrow. Every team member brings relentless passion and quick learning to our culture of innovation. Hydron is the clean fuel company unlocking “net-zero” energy in the Renewable Natural Gas and Blue Hydrogen markets.
We are looking for a Process Engineer to carry out process modeling, design, and optimization of Hydron’s gas upgrading and separation systems. This role supports project development and execution by translating project requirements into robust process designs, operating parameters, and technical documentation, while working closely with internal teams and external project stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:
  • Developing and optimizing process models, simulations, and mass and energy balances for Hydron’s gas upgrading and separation systems
  • Preparing design bases and defining process design parameters, operating conditions, and performance expectations
  • Performing equipment sizing and process calculations, and preparing process and equipment datasheets
  • Developing PFDs and providing process input to P&IDs, control philosophies, and cause-and-effect matrices
  • Participating in HAZOPs and design reviews, and ensuring designs meet applicable codes and standards
  • Analyzing process and operational data from pilot and commercial plants
  • Preparing technical reports, performance evaluations, and recommendations
  • Supporting installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of plants
  • Coordinating technical and on-site activities with contractors, suppliers, and project partners
  • Supporting continuous improvement of process performance and system reliability
Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering for gas processing systems, such as gas upgrading, separation, compression, or treatment
  • P.Eng designation (or eligibility for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC) preferred
  • Strong experience with process modeling and simulation (e.g., Aspen HYSYS) and data analysis
  • Experience preparing PFDs, design bases, datasheets, and reviewing P&IDs
  • Ability to translate project requirements into practical and reliable process designs
  • Experience preparing technical reports and engineering documentation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
Annual Salary:
  • CAD $85,000 - $90,000 commensurate with experience
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary in the growing cleantech sector
  • Comprehensive benefits (health, dental & vision)
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth in renewable energy
  • Collaborative, innovative work environment with impact on global decarbonization
