Original job description

Entry level Event Assistant

(Applicants must have the right to work in the Canada Please note that HYPE is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this opportunity, either now or in the future)

TORONTO | Full-Time Availability | Entry Level

If you’re confident, sociable and enjoy being around people, this could be a great opportunity to develop valuable commercial experience.

Hype Events is looking for Event Sales Assistants to join our growing network, representing brands through live events, promotional campaigns and face-to-face customer engagement across GTA and the surrounding area.

This isn’t a desk-based position. You’ll be interacting directly with customers at pop-up events, shopping malls and other busy locations - starting conversations, building interest and helping our campaigns make an impact.

What you'll be doing

Engaging with customers face-to-face at events and promotional locations
Representing campaigns in a professional and engaging way
Introducing products, services and promotions to potential customers
Working alongside a positive, energetic group of people
Developing your confidence, communication and sales skills
Gaining practical experience of successful events and customer-acquisition campaigns

Who we're looking for

Previous sales experience isn't essential.

We’re much more interested in attitude, personality and willingness to learn.

You might be coming from retail, hospitality, customer service or university - or simply looking for an opportunity to build practical experience in a people-focused environment.

You'll probably enjoy this opportunity if you're:

Comfortable meeting and speaking with new people
Positive, reliable and motivated
Competitive without taking yourself too seriously
Keen to learn and improve
Happy in busy, social environments
Interested in developing your commercial and communication skills

Why Hype Events?

We believe people develop faster when they're given responsibility, support and the opportunity to learn by doing.

You'll have access to hands-on guidance and ongoing development while gaining practical experience across sales, customer engagement, events and team working.

For those who perform well and want to take on more responsibility, there is scope to develop into campaign, training and team leadership responsibilities as you gain experience.

Interested?

If you're looking for something more interactive than sitting behind a desk all day - and you'd like to develop valuable skills while working with people - we'd like to hear from you.

Apply today and our team will be in touch with selected applicants.

Equal Opportunities

Hype Events is committed to providing equal opportunities and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds. Applications are considered on suitability for the opportunity without discrimination on the basis of any protected characteristic. This is a full-time T4 permanent ongoing role.

Please note: This is an on-site, face-to-face opportunity and is not suitable for those seeking remote or hybrid work. Campaign locations, activities and availability requirements may vary according to current campaign requirements.
