Door Stainer

We are currently seeking an experienced Fiberglass Door Stainer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in staining fiberglass doors using water-based staining products.

We are specifically looking for someone with door staining experience rather than general spray painting experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, staining, and finishing fiberglass doors to achieve a consistent, high-quality wood-grain appearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply water-based stains to fiberglass doors using appropriate staining techniques.

• Perform a three-step staining and finishing process according to production requirements.

• Prepare door surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and other necessary preparation.

• Use brushes, wiping techniques, and commercial spray equipment where required.

• Create consistent wood-grain finishes and ensure uniform colour application.

• Apply protective clear coats and finishing products as required.

• Inspect finished doors for colour consistency, streaks, defects, and imperfections.

• Mix and prepare stains according to specifications.

• Maintain staining equipment, tools, and a clean work environment.

• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.

• Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.

  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in door staining or a similar wood-grain finishing process preferred.

• Previous experience staining fiberglass doors is strongly preferred.

• Experience working with water-based stains and finishing products.

• Knowledge of multi-step staining and finishing applications.

• Familiarity with commercial spray equipment, including HVLP spray guns, is an asset.

• Ability to match colours and produce consistent finishes.

• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
