Pre-Press Operator

We are looking for an experienced Pre-Press Operator to join a printing and packaging manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience preparing digital artwork and print-ready files, operating pre-press equipment, and ensuring accurate colour reproduction and print quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process artwork files for commercial printing.

• Check digital files for resolution, colour accuracy, bleed, trim, and layout specifications.

• Operate Computer-to-Plate (CTP) systems and pre-press equipment.

• Perform colour correction, image adjustments, and file imposition.

• Prepare print-ready PDFs and production files.

• Use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat.

• Review proofs and ensure artwork meets customer specifications.

• Perform trapping, separations, and colour management.

• Identify and correct artwork errors before printing.

• Coordinate with printing press operators and production teams.

• Maintain accurate job records and production documentation.

• Ensure all pre-press work meets quality and production standards.

  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in pre-press operations or commercial printing.

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

• Experience with CTP equipment and pre-press workflow software.

• Knowledge of CMYK, Pantone colours, colour separation, and print production.

• Experience with PDF preflighting, imposition, and trapping.

• Ability to read and interpret printing specifications.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Experience in offset, flexographic, or digital printing is an asset.
