Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior ETL Software Developer to lead and support data migration from legacy applications to modernized solutions. The successful candidate will develop and implement data conversion strategies, perform data profiling and cleansing, develop ETL solutions, and ensure data integrity throughout the migration process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data migration strategies and best-practice ETL solutions for legacy-to-modern system migrations.
  
• Analyze legacy data and files across multiple data sources and formats.
  
• Perform data profiling and recommend pre-migration data cleansing activities.
  
• Develop data mappings, define interfaces, execute mock conversions, and perform production data conversions.
  
• Develop, test, and maintain data conversion scripts and applications.
  
• Work with heterogeneous platforms and migrate document attachments and files between systems.
  
• Design and execute testing strategies to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  
• Perform post-migration audits, data reconciliation, and exception reporting.
  
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve data migration challenges.
  
• Provide pre- and post-conversion support to business users.
  
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to understand migration requirements.
  
• Prepare and maintain ETL mappings, data dictionaries, migration strategies, and technical documentation.
  
• Support implementation, deployment, and cutover activities.
  

Mandatory Requirements

• 7+ years of experience developing and documenting ETL solutions for data conversion and migration.
  
• Extensive experience planning and executing data migrations from legacy applications to modernized solutions.
  
• Strong experience with relational database management systems, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure SQL Database.
  
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, performing data analysis, and validating data.
  
• Experience migrating document attachments and files from legacy systems to new solutions.
  
• Hands-on experience with cloud database technologies, such as Azure SQL.
  
• Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory and Informatica.
  
• Experience preparing ETL mappings, data dictionaries, business cases, and data migration strategies and plans.
  
• Knowledge of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
  
• Strong understanding of master data, transactional data, and their interdependencies.
  

Desired Skills and Experience

• Full lifecycle data conversion experience with enterprise systems, including deployment.
  
• Experience with data profiling, extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, validation, and auditing.
  
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, including complex query development.
  
• Knowledge of mainframe data formats, data types, segments, and non-relational data structures.
  
• Experience designing scalable data migration solutions.
  
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  
• Experience with large-scale case management applications and their data models.
  
• Experience coordinating migration requirements with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  
• Experience managing conversion documentation, data mapping, interfaces, and validation of migrated data.
  
• Experience supporting system cutover and post-migration activities.
  
• Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and consensus-building skills.
  
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain effective client relationships.
