Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Spray Painter / Sander to join our furniture manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for surface preparation, sanding, spray painting, and finishing high-quality furniture components.
Responsibilities

Surface Preparation: Sand and prepare wood and furniture components for finishing using orbital, palm, and power sanding equipment.

Finishing Operations: Apply stains, paints, lacquers, primers, and clear coats using HVLP spray guns and related equipment.

Coating Maintenance: Perform detailed sanding and touch-ups between coats to ensure high quality.

Material Prep: Mix and prepare finishing materials to specifications.

Quality Assurance: Ensure consistent color, coverage, and finish across all parts. Identify and correct flaws such as scratches, runs, sags, and other surface imperfections.

Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station while adhering to production, quality, and safety standards.
Requirements

Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in spray painting and sanding within furniture manufacturing, woodworking, cabinetry, or millwork.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with HVLP spray guns, power sanders, and knowledge of various finishing materials (stains, lacquers, primers, clear coats).

Skills Asset: Experience with color and stain matching is highly valued.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
