The Vice President, Head of Global Trading is looking for a Director, Credit Trading to join the trading team. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to our team and located in our Montreal, Quebec City or Toronto offices.

Who you’ll work with:

The role requires extensive collaboration with portfolio managers, analysts, and cross-functional teams, including Legal, Operations, and Compliance, to facilitate efficient trade execution and portfolio management.
The individual will report directly to the Global Head of Trading, work closely with other fixed income traders, and traders in other asset classes

What You’ll Accomplish With Us

As a Director - Credit Trading you’ll be at the core of our mission.

Here are the main responsibilities:

Monitor and execute timely and reliable transactions in US and Canadian credit
Support trading team in order management and operational processes
Collaborate with the investment management team by sharing market insights
Coordinate with various departments such as Accounting, Legal and Operations
Develop and maintain relationships with our counterparties to ensure optimal access to liquidity
Assist in the development of junior traders
Support improvements in the trade process including pre/post trade analytics, TCA

What Could Accelerate Your Success In This Role

We’re looking for someone who:

Has a minimum of 7 years experience of trading credit products and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (advanced degree or CFA preferred).
Is recognized for their excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to thrive under pressure,manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and work effectively in a team environment.
Has experience trading FX, Equities, Futures, and Fixed Income products.
Demonstrates strong knowledge of Bloomberg and other trading tools, including Candeal, MarketAxess, and Trumid.
Brings additional value through coding skills in Python, SQL, and VBA.

Responsibilities

Monitor and execute transactions in Canadian and U.S. credit markets, support order management and trading operations, and share market insights with investment teams. Build counterparty relationships, coordinate with internal departments, support junior traders, and improve trade processes and analytics.

Requirements

Requires at least seven years of credit product trading experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field; an advanced degree or CFA is preferred. Candidates should have experience trading FX, equities, futures, and fixed income, strong knowledge of Bloomberg, Candeal, MarketAxess, and Trumid, and excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills; Python, SQL, and VBA are valued.
