About the role:
We’re actively searching for an Electrical Engineer to join the Côté Gold team, starting as soon as possible (TBD), reporting to the Chief Engineer. This role develops and enforces electrical maintenance programs, manages engineering projects and modifications, and provides technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
This role supports IAMGOLD’s purpose by ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient electrical systems. By driving compliance, improving performance, and enabling informed decision-making, the Electrical Engineer helps maximize uptime, control costs, and strengthen operational excellence across the site.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement electrical maintenance programs, including asset strategies, FMECA, and reliability-centered maintenance.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on electrical failures and establish standards, procedures, and CMMS integration.
- Lead electrical engineering projects, including design, installation, modification, and compliance with codes and standards.
- Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, technical specifications, and maintain accurate engineering documentation.
- Provide technical support, training, and advisory services to operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term operational maintenance strategies.
- Ensure electrical safety by developing procedures, training programs, and compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement through innovation, benchmarking, and adoption of best practices in electrical engineering.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required
- Registration (or eligibility to register) as an Engineer in Ontario (PEO)
Relevant Experience:
- A minimum of three to five years of related work experience
- Previous experience in open pit mining or mineral processing (specifically gold processing) is considered an asset.

The final offer is determined based on your individual skills, qualifications, and competencies and aligned with our commitment to internal equity.
Salary Range: $89,000-$133,500 + Bonus
