About the team you are joining

We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Marketing Automation to support the development and execution of IATA’s marketing automation, CRM and customer journey activities across Products and Services. This role will translate marketing strategies and customer journeys into scalable, automated programs that support lead generation, nurturing, engagement and conversion.

Working closely with the Manager, Marketing Operations, Marketing Managers, Digital Marketing and Product Marketing teams, you will manage and optimize automated campaigns, audience segmentation, lead scoring, database activation and performance reporting. The role will help ensure that marketing activities are connected across channels and that customer data and insights are effectively used to improve engagement and business outcomes.

What your day would be like

Lead the setup, execution and optimization of automated marketing programs across the customer lifecycle, from prospect acquisition and nurturing through to conversion, renewal and upsell.
Translate customer journeys, personas and marketing objectives into effective CRM and marketing automation programs.
Manage audience segmentation, progressive profiling, lead scoring and grading to improve the quality and relevance of marketing engagement.
Work closely with wider Marketing team to develop automation requirements, campaign briefs, audience definitions and journey logic.
Build and maintain automated email journeys, nurture programs, triggers and other lifecycle communications within the marketing automation ecosystem.
Ensure digital campaigns, content and paid media activities are effectively connected to CRM journeys and year-round marketing programs in collaboration with the Digital Marketing team.
Monitor campaign and journey performance and provide regular reporting, benchmarking and actionable recommendations to improve engagement, conversion and lead quality.
Support the ongoing improvement of IATA’s Products and Services prospect database by identifying data gaps, improving data quality and helping expand customer profiles and personas.
Develop and maintain standardized processes, templates and best practices for marketing automation that can be scaled across products, segments and regions.
Support testing and adoption of AI, automation and other technologies that can improve marketing efficiency, personalization and campaign performance.
Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to support CRM, data and marketing technology enhancements and ensure marketing requirements are effectively implemented.

Experience & Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in marketing automation, CRM, digital marketing or a related marketing operations environment, ideally in a B2B organization.
Demonstrated experience developing and managing automated marketing campaigns and customer journeys.
Experience working with lead nurturing, segmentation, scoring and lifecycle marketing programs.
Experience managing multiple campaigns, projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with Salesforce and/or Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) is strongly preferred along with valid certifications

Technical & Analytical Skills

Strong hands-on knowledge of marketing automation and CRM platforms, particularly Pardot and Salesforce.
Understanding of customer journey design, database management, segmentation, progressive profiling and lead scoring.
Strong analytical skills and experience using campaign data to identify opportunities and optimize performance.
Experience with reporting and analytics tools, including Salesforce reporting, Google Analytics and/or Power BI/Looker Studio.
Understanding of email marketing, tracking, attribution and integration between CRM, digital channels and marketing automation.
Ability to translate marketing requirements into practical automation solutions and workflows.
Interest in AI and emerging marketing technologies, with the ability to identify practical opportunities to improve efficiency and personalization.

Collaboration

Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with Marketing, Product, Sales, I&D, IT and external partners.
Ability to translate technical concepts into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
A customer-centric and data-driven mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.
Comfortable working in a changing environment and supporting the adoption of new processes, technologies and ways of working.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and bring teams together around common objectives.
Excellent oral and written English.
