Original job description

About Us

Ibbtec Technology Solutions Inc. is a Halifax-based company specializing in security and technology solutions for residential, commercial, and multi-unit properties.

Our services include CCTV surveillance, access control, intercom systems, intrusion alarm systems, structured cabling, and networking solutions.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team and play an important role in expanding our customer base and developing new business opportunities.

About the Role

We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, identifying opportunities, and building lasting business relationships.

This role is focused on business development, generating new sales, managing customer relationships, and supporting the company's continued growth.

This is a field-based position with the flexibility to work from home for prospecting and customer follow-ups. Regular in-person client meetings, site visits, and business development activities throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality are an important part of the role.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, confident in approaching potential customers, and comfortable managing the sales process from initial contact through project completion and final payment.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, client visits, networking, cold calling, and other methods.
Build and maintain relationships with property managers, developers, general contractors, business owners, and commercial clients.
Generate new leads, schedule meetings, and actively work toward increasing company sales.
Promote CCTV, access control, intercom, alarm systems, and other security and technology solutions.
Identify tender opportunities and assist with bid submissions and proposals.
Prepare and review accurate sales quotations in coordination with the technical team.
Manage prospective and active opportunities through the sales pipeline.
Maintain consistent client follow-ups from initial inquiry through final payment.
Identify potential partnerships, new markets, and growth opportunities for the company.
Work closely with management and technical staff to understand customer needs and develop appropriate solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience in sales, business development, or account management.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Confidence in approaching new customers and generating sales opportunities.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow up consistently.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, and CRM systems.
Experience in security systems, low-voltage technology, construction, or related industries is considered an asset.
Valid driver's licence.

How to Apply

If you're motivated by business development, enjoy building customer relationships, and want to make a meaningful contribution to a growing company, we'd love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume and a brief introduction outlining your relevant sales or business development experience.

We appreciate all applications. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
