Our client is one of Canada's large publicly traded company and are experiencing continuous and rapid growth. As a result, they are looking to add a Manager, Financial Reporting to their External Reporting Group. As Manager, Financial Reporting, you will serve as the key technical person for their team and be responsible for purchase price allocations, deal with the Auditors and be the specialist with regards to Technical Accounting Matters (IFRS research).
In addition, you will be responsible for the preparation of the Notes to the Financials, MD&A and Variance Analysis.
This role is for someone who is currently a SFA working for a public company and wants a Manager role. Our client will also look at someone who is currently a Manager but is not happy where they are at and want to explore other Manager roles.
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;
- CPA is mandatory
- Experience working for a public company in either External Reporting (ideal) or Corporate Accounting
- At least 6 years total experience either all within industry or combination public accounting and industry
- Experienced with IFRS - complex
**This is a role where you will be required to work hybrid consisting of 2-3 days a week in office

Responsibilities
Lead technical accounting matters for the External Reporting Group, including purchase price allocations, IFRS research, and coordination with auditors. Prepare financial statement notes, Management Discussion and Analysis, and variance analyses.
Requirements
A CPA designation and at least six years of experience are required, with experience in a public company’s external reporting or corporate accounting function. Candidates must have experience with complex IFRS matters; backgrounds combining public accounting and industry experience are also considered.
