Founded in 1926, IG Wealth Management is a key part of IGM's business model, providing comprehensive wealth management services to Canadian financial advisors and their clients.

With a vision to inspire financial confidence, IG Wealth Management is recognized as one of Manitoba’s Top Employers, Canada’s Top 100 Employers, and Best Diversity Employers, aiming to innovate the industry and support Canadians in achieving their financial goals.

Join our team to engage in continuous learning and skill development in a supportive environment. Experience the best of both worlds with our hybrid work environment, where you spend three days a week in the office, connecting, collaborating, and enjoying quality time with your amazing colleagues! Our Values: Be better; we strive for improvement in everything we do. Be accountable; we foster clarity and are empowered to act responsibly. Be a team; we are united to drive collective impact to achieve our goals.

The Role: As a member of our Advanced Financial Planning department, you will be joining a highly collaborative group of 46 legal, tax, and financial planning professionals responsible for providing support, training and resource material to IG Advisors. Our Living Plan Portal team provides financial planning software support on complex cases. We provide support to Advisors, particularly on situations involving high-net-worth clients with complex situations, by meeting with Advisors (either remotely or in person) to discuss a client’s financial plan, issues, opportunities and strategies.

We are looking for a Living Plan Portal specialist (Senior Manager) to join our Advanced Financial Planning team. We are open to considering candidates located in all provinces. Although work can be conducted remotely, there will be an expectation of periodic travel to meet in person with the team, IG Advisors and with high-net-worth clients.

Key Responsibilities

Provide advanced financial planning support for IG Wealth Advisors by responding to their questions or issues by telephone and e-mail.
Prepare written reports (based on detailed analysis) for complex client situations, advising on financial planning opportunities, strategies and issues.
Present concepts and deliver continuing education sessions to advisors and within the Advanced Financial Planning team.
Develop and provide advice and training to other IG Wealth Management departments on financial planning issues (including the review of client collateral relating to financial planning, participating on editorial committees for production of client publications, advising on new product development and on the appropriateness of various financial planning solutions).

Required Qualifications

Completion of a post-secondary university degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, with a preference for significant experience working with financial planning software
Completion of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation from FP Canada or the Financial Planner (F.Pl.) title issued by the Institut de planification financière (IPF).
A continuous learner who stays on top of business trends and changes in the financial planner landscape.
Flexible, able to work with light supervision and adapt to change.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (ability to communicate in both English and French would be an asset).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong public speaking and training skills.
Proficiency with Windows environment PC based tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Conquest planning software would be considered an asset

As this position is also posted in Montréal, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $87,000 - $124,500 which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.

Benefits

COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION & RECOGNITION: competitive base salary, performance-weighted bonus, education/career support, option to join Employee Share Purchase Plan with employer matching component.
