If you've been looking for a role where your AI skills meet real-world impact, this is where entry-level meets cutting-edge. Few roles at this level give you this much hands-on AI operations experience.
What you will be doing
- Moderating content at scale using AI + human judgment: Reviewing, classifying, tagging, and actioning user-generated and AI-generated content (forums, blogs, knowledge bases, events, groups) against platform policies - with GenAI tools accelerating your decisions.
- Keeping the content pipeline running smoothly: Organizing review queues, tracking submission timelines, flagging bottlenecks, and ensuring content moves efficiently from submission to publication across tools and teams.
- Training the AI that trains itself: Annotating edge cases, labeling content for model training, validating AI-generated suggestions, and submitting structured feedback that directly improves auto-moderation accuracy over time.
- Documenting everything that matters: Logging moderation actions, capturing ambiguous cases, and maintaining clear records that give your team and stakeholders full visibility into progress and decisions.
What you will NOT be doing
- Mindlessly clicking "approve" or "reject" all day. You'll apply contextual judgment and use GenAI to work smarter - not just faster.
- Working without structure or guidance. You'll have clear policies, documented procedures, and established workflows - no guessing what "good" looks like.
- Handling escalations alone with no support. Edge cases and sensitive content are escalated through defined paths; you won't be left to make high-stakes calls in isolation.
- Sitting in endless meetings or navigating corporate politics. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role where your output speaks for itself.
- Being stuck in a dead-end moderation job. You'll gain real AI operations experience that opens doors in Trust & Safety, AI/ML ops, and content operations.
Responsibilities
- Review and moderate incoming content (forums, blogs, knowledge bases, events, groups) using a combination of AI-assisted tools and manual review to ensure policy compliance.
- Apply moderation actions - approve, remove, tag, reclassify, or escalate - consistently and accurately across all content types.
- Organize and prioritize content queues; monitor content flow across review stages; resolve workflow delays proactively.
- Communicate task status, blockers, and progress updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Annotate and tag content according to defined schemas to generate clean, structured training data for AI systems.
- Identify and document edge cases, false positives/negatives, and anomalies; submit actionable feedback to improve AI model performance.
- Track recurring issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of moderation guidelines, tools, and automation systems.
- Maintain detailed logs of all moderation actions, decisions, and escalations for audit and operational reporting.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a structured, tech-enabled role (e.g., content moderation, customer support, QA, BPO, community operations, or admin).
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using multiple GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for tasks like classification, tagging, documentation, or automation - in professional, academic, or personal productivity contexts.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to make accurate, consistent decisions within defined guidelines over sustained periods.
- Excellent English reading comprehension and written communication skills for reviewing diverse content and documenting actions clearly.
- Comfort and emotional resilience when reviewing sensitive, disturbing, or challenging content in a professional manner.
- Basic proficiency with web-based tools, dashboards, and structured workflows (e.g., moderation platforms, Smartsheet, ticketing systems).
- Ability to follow detailed procedures precisely while exercising sound judgment on ambiguous cases.
Nice to Have
- Experience with content annotation, data labeling, or AI/ML training data workflows.
- Familiarity with Trust & Safety frameworks, community guidelines, or platform policy enforcement.
- Prior experience moderating online communities (e.g., Discord, Reddit, forums - even as a volunteer or freelancer).
- Exposure to rule-based automation, content flagging systems, or moderation dashboards.
- Experience working in BPO or high-volume operations environments with SLA-driven workflows.
- Basic understanding of how AI models are trained and how human feedback loops improve automation.
What you will learn
