National Account Manager – Residential, Canada

At IKO, our customer relationships extend across the country - from national head offices to individual dealers, branches and members operating in local markets.
We’re looking for a National Account Manager for our residential product line who can bring those relationships together.
In this highly visible role, you will be the primary point of contact for our national buying groups and key national residential accounts, developing strong relationships with their head-office leadership while connecting national priorities with our regional sales teams across Canada.
This isn't about managing relationships from behind a desk. You'll be in the market, meeting customers, understanding their businesses, identifying opportunities, solving challenges and making sure that what we agree to nationally translates into meaningful execution locally.

As our National Account Manager – Residential, Canada, you will:
- Take ownership of some of IKO's most important national customer relationships while working across our Canadian residential business and become the primary IKO contact for the head offices of assigned national buying groups and strategic accounts.
- Represent IKO at national customer meetings, buying group events, conferences and industry functions.
- Connect national and local – Help translate national agreements, programs and opportunities into effective execution across regions, branches, dealers and members.
- Build real partnerships – Develop relationships that go beyond transactions by understanding our customers' businesses, priorities and opportunities.
- Influence across the organization – Work closely with Regional Sales Managers, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, Finance, Supply Chain and leadership. to ensure national commitments and programs are effectively understood and executed in local markets.
- Get close to the market – Maintain direct visibility into customer activity, competitive developments and emerging opportunities across Canada.
- Make an impact – Help strengthen IKO's presence and position within some of the most influential buying groups and customer networks in the Canadian residential building-products market.
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for someone who understands that successful national account management is about more than negotiating an agreement - it's about what happens after the agreement is signed.
You know how to build relationships at head office, while also understanding what needs to happen in the regions and local markets to make those partnerships successful.
Ideally, you bring:
- 8+ years of progressive B2B sales, national account management, key account management or commercial experience.
- Experience managing large, complex customers operating across multiple locations or regions.
- Experience working with national buying groups, distributors, dealers, retailers or multi-location customer organizations.
- Experience within roofing, building materials, construction products, distribution or another channel-driven industry is considered a strong asset.
- Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of customer programs, agreements, pricing structures, promotions and channel dynamics.
- A demonstrated ability to build credibility and long-term relationships with senior customer stakeholders.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple national relationships and initiatives simultaneously.
- The ability and willingness to travel across Canada as required.
- French Bi-lingual is an Asset
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is $000,000–$000,000 CAD annually, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus,
This role also includes a company car, benefits package and company supported RRSP program
Actual compensation within the stated range will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
