You’ll gain valuable consulting experience across a wide variety of industries while supporting clients with payroll compliance, HRIS implementation, and process improvements.

This position is ideal for a payroll professional with approximately 3-5 years of experience who enjoys balancing hands-on work with client-facing consulting.

What You’ll Do

  • System Implementation: Assist with the selection and implementation of payroll and HRIS systems, including data migration, testing, and client training.
  • Process Improvement: Review and improve payroll and HRIS workflows, helping clients increase efficiency. Provide troubleshooting, system optimization, and vendor liaison support as needed.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Manage and maintain accurate payroll and HRIS data. Support clients with conducting payroll/HRIS data audits, prepare custom reporting, and dashboard development.
  • Compensation and Benefits Support: Work alongside HR consultants to ensure payroll systems reflect compensation structures, salary grids, and benefits.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop and share SOP’s and user guides; provide training to client teams on payroll and HRIS best practices.
  • HR Project Work: Opportunities to contribute to HR initiatives, such as policy development, compensation and benefit reviews, training and development and HR compliance projects.

Qualifications and Work Environment

  • 3-5 years of experience in Payroll, HR and/or HRIS.
  • Hands on experience with multiple payroll/HRIS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and Employment Standards.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, HR, or related field preferred. PCP or CPHR designation considered an asset.
  • Flexible to work on-site with clients as needed (10% travel across Alberta and occasionally across Canada).

This role is a fit for someone who thrives in a consulting environment, enjoys variety, and is comfortable managing multiple client priorities.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

  • $60,000–$85,000 salary (negotiable based on experience)
  • Extended Health, Dental, Vision, and Health Spending Account
