Our client is seeking an experienced Corporate Lawyer to join its Business Law team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with 3+ years of practice experience who enjoys working on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters and is looking for meaningful client exposure, professional autonomy, and a supportive team environment.

About The Opportunity
This opportunity offers an experienced Corporate Lawyer the chance to build and manage a diverse corporate and commercial practice within an established Business Law team.

About The Position
Reporting to senior members of the Business Law team, the Corporate Lawyer will advise businesses and their owners on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. The successful candidate will manage files independently while working collaboratively with other lawyers and legal professionals when required.
Key responsibilities will include:

Advising clients on day-to-day corporate and commercial matters
Supporting business acquisitions, sales, reorganizations, incorporations, and other transactions
Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating corporate and commercial agreements
Drafting shareholder agreements, resolutions, corporate records, and other legal documentation
Conducting legal research and providing practical, business-oriented legal advice
Managing files, deadlines, and client communications from initial instruction through completion
Working collaboratively with lawyers and legal professionals on client matters
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
Contributing to the continued growth and development of the Business Law practice

The Requirements

3+ years of relevant experience
Strong background in corporate and commercial law
Experience managing transactional matters with a high degree of independence
Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills
Sound legal judgment and the ability to provide practical, business-focused advice
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team
Experience with business acquisitions, reorganizations, shareholder agreements, or other transactional matters would be an asset

Compensation

Salary: $100,000-$150,000
