Responsibilities
- Manage and underwrite program/portfolio risks with delegated underwriting authority.
- Perform individual risk underwriting on the side
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and MGAs.
- Participate in reinsurance negotiations as needed.
- Contribute to product development, including wording interpretation and manual creation.
- Work independently with limited supervision to meet business goals.
- Collaborate with team members to support company growth and diversification.
Qualifications
- 2 or more years of proven experience in program or delegated underwriting, preferably within brokers or MGAs.
- Strong technical skills in risk assessment and underwriting.
- Tech-savvy with openness to AI tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Relevant industry certifications and a background in commercial insurance.
