Job Role Description
The Sales Representative is responsible for the profitable growth and defense of the Mobil brand across industrial and commercial sectors. Our success is built on strong partnerships with distributors and direct accounts. We are looking for a dynamic team player to maintain a book of current customers and drive growth through account development, technical consultation, and collaborative customer engagement. You will serve as a trusted advisor and coach to customers and partners as you grow the Mobil brand and market position.

Job Role Responsibilities
Primary Job Functions

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow lubricant sales
Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas
Fully leverage Salesforce to enable efficient forecasting, pipeline management, account activity and management
Deliver technical value through lubricant recommendations, troubleshooting, differentiated services, and other solutions
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with direct customers and distributors
Deliver impactful presentations, training sessions, and technical support to direct customers and distributors
Partner with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, technical services) to ensure a seamless customer experience
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies
Monitor account and portfolio performance, evaluate KPIs, and implement improvement initiatives

Job Requirements

Ability to travel 50-75% of the time
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial), Chemistry, Commerce, Business or related field
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Highly organized with excellent follow-up capability and multi-tasking ability
Strong problem-solving, technical acumen and analytical thinking capabilities
Demonstrated aptitude for learning and adapting in dynamic environments
Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Experience

3–5+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in lubricants, base oils, chemicals, or calling on industrial facilities
Proven success in driving growth through effective distributor and direct account management
Strong technical understanding of lubrication systems, tribology, and fluid performance
Experience in maintenance, reliability, and/or rotating equipment
Proven selling, persuasion and influence skills
Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite
