Job Title: PL/SQL Developer (Unix & DB2)

Location: Montreal, QC, Canada (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced PL/SQL Developer with strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting, and DB2 to develop, maintain, and optimize database applications and batch processes.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL Development.
  • Expertise in Stored Procedures, Packages, Functions, Triggers, and Views.
  • Experience with SQL Query Optimization and Performance Tuning.
  • Knowledge of IBM DB2 UDB (preferred; willingness to learn is acceptable).
  • Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn Shell).
  • Experience with Python or Perl.
  • Knowledge of AutoSys, Control-M, or similar scheduling tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL applications and database objects.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Create Unix/Linux Shell Scripts for automation and batch processing.
  • Perform database performance tuning.
  • Support production systems and troubleshoot database issues.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams.
  • Participate in testing, deployment, and production support.

Important: Strong PL/SQL + Unix/Linux + Shell Scripting experience is mandatory. DB2 experience is preferred, but candidates willing to learn DB2 are also acceptable.
