We're looking for someone who can step directly into active projects from day one and run them with minimal supervision.

What you'll do

  • Lead hazardous materials investigations, designated substance surveys, and abatement/removal oversight
  • Train, schedule, and supervise junior Environmental Technicians on site
  • Prepare technical reports, scopes of work, cost estimates, and remediation recommendations
  • Review and approve contractor safe work procedures
  • Serve as the main on-site point of contact for clients on large-scale projects
  • Support proposals, bids, scheduling, and project closeout
  • Help pursue new climate change–related work, such as climate risk assessments and adaptation planning

What you bring

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in environmental consulting or industrial hygiene (hazmat, DSS, abatement oversight)
  • Proven ability to manage projects from site work through final reporting independently
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior field staff
  • Working knowledge of O. Reg. 278/05, O. Reg. 490/09, and CNESST requirements
  • Strong report writing and client communication skills
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance, pass a respiratory fit-test, work in confined spaces and on rooftops, and lift up to 25 kg

Strong assets

  • Experience with climate change mitigation or adaptation work (climate risk/vulnerability assessments, resilience planning, GHG inventories)
  • French language skills (written and spoken)

Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 per year

This posting is for an existing vacancy.

The role may involve a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends.

InAIR Environmental provides expert indoor and outdoor environmental services to government, institutional, and commercial clients. We take pride in high-quality, safe, and meticulous work.
