Job Title: AI Governance & Portfolio Analyst
Location: 500 Consumers Road, Toronto ON (VPC)
Duration: 12+ Months
Schedule: Fully onsite 5 days per week
Role Summary
We are seeking an AI Governance & Portfolio Analyst to support the development, execution, and continuous improvement of our AI governance framework and opportunity portfolio. This role will coordinate governance forums, facilitate stakeholder alignment, and provide portfolio reporting to ensure AI initiatives deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and continuous improvement of the AI governance framework, including intake, prioritization, funding, risk management, and value realization.
- Coordinate governance forums, steering committees, and cross‑functional working groups, including facilitation, agenda development, decision tracking, and action management.
- Develop executive‑ready materials, dashboards, and reporting to support leadership decision‑making and portfolio management.
- Track AI portfolio performance, benefits realization, adoption metrics, and governance outcomes.
- Support AI project prioritization and execution by coordinating activities between business teams, data teams, SMEs, vendors, and technology delivery groups.
- Assist business stakeholders with AI opportunity evaluation and prioritization using established value, risk, feasibility, and strategic alignment criteria.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, machine learning, generative AI, and advanced analytics solutions.
- Facilitate intake workshops, business problem definition sessions, and discovery activities with stakeholders.
Education & Experience
- Post‑secondary certificate/diploma or university degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
- 0–4+ years of relevant experience supporting business transformation, data/analytics initiatives, technology delivery, portfolio management, governance, or process improvement programs.
- Preferred: Advanced degree (MBA/MSc) or certifications such as PMP, CBAP, CDMP.
Core Skills (Must‑Have)
- Strong project management and stakeholder facilitation skills.
- Experience supporting governance processes, strategic initiatives, or organizational transformation programs.
- Understanding of AI, automation, analytics, or digital transformation concepts.
- Working knowledge of GenAI/AI/ML platforms (e.g., Databricks, enterprise data platforms).
- Experience preparing business cases and decision‑ready summaries for leadership reviews.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics.
- Proficiency with MS Excel (Power Query) and Power BI; data analysis and reporting skills.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Change management, communications, and executive presentation development (PowerPoint, Power BI).
- Familiarity with AI governance principles, responsible AI practices, and risk management.
Additional Skills (Nice‑to‑Have)
- Exposure to records/information management and data governance practices.
- Familiarity with cloud/data platforms and enterprise portfolio tools (e.g., Copperleaf).
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Generative AI, or emerging AI capabilities.
- Exposure to Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or enterprise data platforms.
- Knowledge of investment prioritization frameworks and benefits realization methodologies.
