Contract Conformance Specialist IV
We are seeking a Contract Conformance Specialist IV to join the Sunrise Expansion Program in Calgary, AB or Edmonton, AB. This is a 1‑year contract with a field‑based rotation schedule.
Work Model:
- First 2 months: In‑office training to learn systems
- Thereafter: Mobilize to site, rotation based on project needs (12‑hour days / 60‑hour weeks)
Safety Sensitive: Drivers abstract and D&A required
Allowance: LOA + Mileage
Position Overview
The CCS is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day sourcing and field conformance activities for all contractual arrangements associated with assigned capital projects. This role manages all phases of contract administration, documentation, and communications, ensuring obligations are met and issues resolved proactively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction, or Law (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years managing major Engineering & Construction contracts (formation, field management, sourcing, negotiations)
- Expertise in interpreting and administering contractual terms and conditions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and cross‑department collaboration skills
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and problem‑solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, Oracle, and SharePoint
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Project Execution contract strategy
- Prepare RFX documents and draft comprehensive RFP language
- Manage RFP issuance, evaluation, and review processes
- Lead contract negotiations during bidding and formation phases
- Draft and prepare contract exhibits and technical language
- Collaborate with SCM, project teams, and legal representatives
- Review contractor submissions and invoices for compliance
- Oversee change order process and contract close‑out procedures
- Maintain documentation, logs, agendas, and communication plans
- Provide training on contract conformance to internal and external personnel
- Deliver ongoing updates to management on contractual requirements
