Job Overview
We are seeking a hands-on .NET Developer with 5–8 years of professional software development experience to join an established development team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently within an existing codebase, developing and maintaining web applications and services, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with a distributed team during US business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs to support front-end applications and system integrations.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database logic.
- Build and maintain responsive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Diagnose and resolve application bugs, performance issues, and technical debt.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications and codebases.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, product, and business stakeholders to deliver features on schedule.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and development best practices.
- Provide clear and timely communication regarding progress, blockers, risks, and technical decisions.
- Document code changes, technical decisions, and development processes as required.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in ASP.NET MVC.
- Strong hands-on experience with C#.
- Strong experience developing and consuming Web API / RESTful services.
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL, including stored procedures, functions, and query optimization/tuning.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and extending existing enterprise applications.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience with source control systems such as Git, TFS, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with IIS deployment and configuration.
- Experience with Dependency Injection, unit testing, and .NET design patterns.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Ability to work with the team during required US business-hour overlap.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Previous experience working in a nearshore or remote contract environment.
- Experience supporting and enhancing large or established enterprise applications.
