Senior QA Engineer – Canada
Location: Montreal (Remote) | Toronto (3 days onsite)
Mandatory: French language proficiency
Job Summary
Looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong Python automation, advanced SQL, AWS data pipeline testing, and backend/API testing experience. The role focuses on simulating high-volume trades, validating data integrity, and performance testing in a trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Python automation frameworks using Pytest, Requests, and Pandas.
- Test AWS ETL/ELT data pipelines and ensure data accuracy.
- Validate large datasets using complex SQL queries.
- Perform API, load, stress, and performance testing.
- Investigate root causes of backend and database issues.
- Support releases and production issues as required.
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of QA experience in backend automation and Data QA.
- Strong Python scripting and automation skills.
- Advanced SQL: MySQL, Snowflake, Hive, or Athena.
- AWS data services and pipeline testing.
- REST API testing and automation.
- Performance and high-volume transaction testing.
- French language proficiency.
Nice to Have
- Capital markets or trading domain experience.
- Hadoop, Spark, or Hive.
- Linux shell scripting.
