Business Development Representative – Summer Student (May–August 2027)

Infotech | Toronto, ON

About Infotech

Infotech helps IT leaders systematically improve their organizations through its API-driven advisory model. For nearly 30 years, we’ve helped leaders solve difficult problems through research, practical tools, and expert guidance. More than 30,000 IT leaders worldwide count on Infotech, and our people help us earn that trust every day.

We combine the credibility of an established global organization advising some of the world’s most iconic brands with the energy and ambition of a startup. We’re looking for people who bring fresh thinking, move quickly, and help us deliver greater value to our people and our clients.

Why Join Infotech

Infotech has been recognized among Forbes’ Canada’s Best Employers for 2026, The Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies in 2025 and 2026, and Deloitte’s 2025 Technology Fast 500.

These recognitions sit alongside the work we continue to do: develop our people, expand our capabilities, and earn our clients’ trust.

Onboarding and training: Designed to give you the product knowledge, practical skills, tools, and confidence to succeed in the role.

Ongoing coaching and support: From experienced sales and account leaders as you apply your learning, strengthen your capabilities, and build momentum.

Clear career growth: Opportunities to take on new challenges and pursue advancement as the business continues to expand.

A collaborative culture: Where team members share knowledge, support one another, and celebrate individual and collective wins.

Meaningful client relationships: The opportunity to build lasting partnerships with member organizations and help them address real business challenges and impact individual careers.

The scale of a global research and advisory firm: The broader resources, career paths, and internal expertise that come with being part of Infotech.

New Grad Sales Success at Infotech

From the classroom to the stage at our annual sales awards, recent graduates consistently make an impact at Infotech. Many new grads have advanced rapidly through our sales organization and earned recognition as top performers within their first few years after graduation. When you join Infotech, you're not just starting a job, you're stepping into a proven pathway that has helped new graduates build exceptional careers in sales.

What will you do?

Prospect for new leads and qualify marketing-generated leads
Create sales opportunities by generating appointments for the wider Sales team
Schedule sales presentations for Senior Account Executives
Learn from our Sales Leadership and apply your selling and influencing skills to set up qualified appointments
This is an introductory summer role designed to build your foundation in sales; strong performance may lead to future opportunities at Infotech after graduation

What are we looking for from you?

Intellectual agility and curiosity: Willingness to continually learn about the product and our customers
Excellent communication skills: Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
Active listening skills: Ability to listen and respond to a customer in a manner that improves mutual understanding
Organizational/time management skills: Work independently and be intrinsically motivated
Persistence and resilience: Demonstrate consistent tenacity in managing the appointment booking process and successfully overcome setbacks and disappointments; use creativity and innovation to address challenges and obstacles

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in the BBA program at Lazaridis School of Business & Economics, Wilfrid Laurier University and returning to complete your degree after the May–August 2027 term
1 year of retail, customer service, or professional experience preferred

Remote/In Office Policy

This role requires employees to work from our Toronto office three days per week. The Toronto office is located at 888 Yonge St in the iconic Masonic Temple (also known as The Concert Hall), which was most recently home to MTV Canada and previously hosted famous rock bands like the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin.

Our Interview Process

We want you to understand the opportunity as clearly as we understand your experience.

From initial screening through to the final round, every interview is conducted by a member of our Talent Acquisition or leadership team. You can engage in genuine conversation, ask questions, and learn about the role, team, and Infotech.

We do not use AI interviewers or automated screening bots to conduct interviews. We believe hiring is personal, and every candidate deserves the opportunity to connect directly with the people they may ultimately work with.
