Original job description

Consulting Senior Manager

Who we are

Info-Tech is one of the world’s fastest-growing IT research and advisory companies, proudly serving IT professionals and executives worldwide. Our Consulting division is an extension of Info-Tech’s IP, helping our clients execute quickly and effectively. We’re a practice of analytical and creative thinkers, seeking to solve our clients’ most challenging problems with solutions that deliver measurable client success. We are growing quickly and have unlimited potential to expand our client impact!

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Consulting Senior Manager to lead strategic client engagements, drive executive-level relationships, and oversee the delivery of research-driven solutions that unlock business value. This individual combines strong leadership with consulting expertise, guiding clients through digital transformation initiatives, technology adoption, and organizational change.

This is a senior, complex role that will challenge you to demonstrate both business development and delivery excellence. You will act as a trusted advisor to our clients while managing high-impact, multi-disciplinary consulting teams. Ideal candidates will have been trained in structured consulting methodologies and understand what high-performance consulting looks like in practice.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Manager, you will lead teams of consultants in delivering high-impact consulting engagements across a diverse range of projects and industries. These may include strategic planning, governance, transformation, technology adoption, and organizational change management (OCM) - spanning both business and technical functions of our clients.

Your work will focus on:

Building long-term strategic relationships with clients across North America and advising C-level clients on both strategic and tactical topics, with a focus on how technology enables business outcomes.
Scoping and delivering consulting solutions that address our clients’ cross-functional mission-critical challenges and ensuring you deliver innovative, high-impact solutions.
Managing delivery teams, including coaching and mentoring team members to help them develop their skills and capabilities.

You’ll collaborate closely with Info-Tech partners - including your consulting peers, Sales, and Research - to identify opportunities, lead client discussions, and contribute to the growth of our division. You’ll balance leadership and hands-on delivery while managing multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

Partner with Sales, Consulting, and Research to understand client needs and lead the creation of proposals, statements of work, and client presentations.
Lead the pursuit and closure of new consulting opportunities through strategic client discussions, qualification efforts and proposal development.
Identify opportunities to incorporate additional Info-Tech services that would add value to clients and that align with client priorities and strategic goals.
Build long-term, trust-based relationships with clients to support ongoing business and client success.

Project Delivery

Act as the executive sponsor and senior client-facing representative on consulting engagements, ensuring the overall quality of our deliverables and the satisfaction of our clients.
Lead delivery teams across all project phases - planning, scheduling, stakeholder alignment, and execution.
Guide and mentor teams through delivery execution, ensuring that the findings, recommendations, and executive briefings address the client’s expectations and deliver business value to clients.
Present insights and deliverables to executive leadership, articulating strategic implications and value-driven outcomes.
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with client stakeholders, sponsors, and project managers.

Practice Development

Collaborate across Consulting to support strategic planning and go-to-market initiatives.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of consulting methodologies and project delivery.
Lead internal initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and business development.
Participate in the identification and development of new Intellectual Property that will advance the innovative nature of our Research and deliverables across clients.

Education & Experience

MBA preferred; minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in management consulting, with a proven track record of building and delivering solutions to mission-critical client priorities.
Fluency in English required; fluency in French is an asset.
Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to advise C-level clients on strategic priorities.
Demonstrated experience in business development, proposals, RFPs, and Statements of Work.
Excellent client-facing skills with a demonstrable history of building trusted relationships and delivering value.
Experience leading teams, mentoring, and driving high performance.
Strong communication skills - written and verbal - with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate complex client environments, and meet tight deadlines.
Bilingual proficiency in French, Spanish or German is good to have to support our diverse client base across North America and globally.

Core Consulting Skills

Client Engagement & Facilitation: Build trust-based relationships, lead workshops, and facilitate productive discussions.
Project & Program Management: Plan, execute, and monitor consulting engagements, managing scope and expectations.
Business Development Support: Identify client needs, create proposals, and support closing opportunities.
Critical & Strategic Thinking: Structure problem-solving, analyze data, and deliver actionable recommendations.
Communication & Influence: Present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to executive audiences.
Executive Presence: Engage confidently with senior stakeholders, demonstrating credibility and influence.
Business Strategy & Transformation: Help clients design and implement strategies that drive operational and technical maturity.
People Leadership: Build and mentor high-performing teams with a commitment to client and team success.
