We are ESC, an experienced provider that delivers solutions uniting public records data, customer authentication, corporate services, collateral management, asset recovery, and accounts receivable management which support registration, due diligence, and lending practices of clients across Canada. We are looking for a Developer to help grow our business and contribute to our future.

Reporting to the Applications Architect, this role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of software development languages and technologies, including C#, JavaScript, Ruby, and Java, while working alongside an experienced and collaborative team. You'll participate in the full software development lifecycle, contribute to meaningful projects, and help deliver reliable, high-quality solutions in an Agile environment.

What you’ll do:

Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions in an Agile development environment.
Analyze information needs, business requirements, and system workflows to develop effective technical solutions.
Create, maintain, and enhance software applications and services.
Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve software defects and production issues.
Review and improve existing code to enhance performance, maintainability, and efficiency.
Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code that supports future enhancements and long-term sustainability.
Monitor system health, identify issues, and help ensure data integrity and application reliability.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Participate in testing activities to ensure software quality and functionality.
Research and learn new technologies, applications, and development practices to support continuous improvement.
Document development work and communicate technical information clearly and effectively.

What you’ll need:

Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related field.
Experience developing software applications through coursework, projects, co-op placements, internships, or professional experience.
Understanding of software development fundamentals, methodologies, and best practices.
Knowledge of software design, testing, debugging, and documentation practices.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
