Communications Specialist (Senior) | 6-Month Contract | Toronto (Hybrid)

Infotek Consulting Services is hiring a senior Communications Specialist for a large Canadian financial institution in downtown Toronto. You’ll support the creation of content and materials for the office of the CISO, working inside a small, collaborative team of 5.

Contract details

• 6 months, starting ASAP
• Rate: $50 - $62/hr Incorporated
• Extension and conversion possible, based on business needs and performance
• Hybrid: 4 days in office, 1 day remote
• Monday to Friday, core business hours, 37.5 hours per week, no overtime
• Internal stakeholders only, no customer data access, no travel

What you’ll do

• Write and develop communications and materials for senior security leadership
• Support project work with clear, polished, deadline-ready deliverables
• Partner with internal teams, with roughly 2+ hours of meetings per day
• Adapt quickly as priorities and timelines shift
• Take part in onboarding and knowledge transfer on internal systems

Must-haves

• 8+ years in Communications
• 10+ years of corporate or professional experience
• Security and/or risk background
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong writing and documentation skills
• High attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to pivot in a changing environment

Nice-to-haves

• Banking, financial services or other highly regulated environment experience
• Technical writing experience
• Post-secondary education, ideally a Communications degree
