Original job description

Job Title: Senior Product Owner, Digital Information Product

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Montreal, Quebec, H3B4L2

Job Description:

A career as a Digital Product Owner (PO) – Information Products means acting as a key member of a team undergoing transformation and actively contributing to evolving informational content from a channel-based approach into a true digital product that is continuously delivered and optimized.
In this role, you are responsible for an information product end-to-end: vision, roadmap, backlog, and performance. You work in an Agile environment and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, with a strong focus on customer value, simplicity, velocity, and digital experience quality.
The position is primarily focused on informational content (CMS, content management, user journeys, and performance). Exposure to large-scale personalization is considered an asset but is not the core focus of the role.

Your Role

Act as a Product Owner in an Agile environment, translating business needs into clear and prioritized digital capabilities and features.
Define and champion the vision of the information product while actively contributing to its roadmap in alignment with business objectives and customer experience goals.
Build, manage, and prioritize the backlog based on value, impact, and strategic alignment, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Ensure delivery teams clearly understand business needs, acceptance criteria, and expected deliverables.
Lead initiatives with multidisciplinary teams (business, IT, experience design, and content), maintaining a strong focus on customer and organizational value.
Establish and evolve an approach where informational content is managed as a product, including clear governance, ownership, performance metrics, and continuous optimization of customer journeys.
Contribute to the standardization and industrialization of ways of working (processes, briefs, and practices) to increase velocity and simplicity.
Identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities based on data, user feedback, and emerging business needs.

Your Team

You will work in a digital environment undergoing transformation, where the organization is focused on:
Moving from a project-based approach to a continuous evolution model.
Structuring teams around products and customer-focused themes rather than one-time deliverables.
Simplifying, standardizing, and accelerating the delivery of digital value.
The organization values collaboration, autonomy, continuous development, and offers a flexible work environment.
Within the Personal Banking Digital Sector, you will be part of a larger team of approximately ten colleagues and report to the Senior Director responsible for Digital Product Owners. Our team stands out for its commitment to delivering user-friendly features tailored to our clients’ needs.
We aim to provide you with maximum flexibility to support your quality of life. This includes a hybrid work environment and a flexible, adaptable schedule.
The Bank promotes continuous development and internal mobility. Our personalized learning programs, based on hands-on learning, enable you to master your role and develop new areas of expertise. Resources such as the Data Academy, language training programs, the Harvard Learning Center, as well as coaching and mentoring opportunities, are available to you at all times.

Qualifications

Significant experience (minimum 5 to 7 years) as a Product Owner or in a similar role delivering digital products.
Strong experience in digital product management beyond a purely project-based delivery model.
Solid understanding of informational and content-driven websites (CMS, content strategy, customer journeys).
Experience managing backlogs, prioritization, and delivery in an Agile environment.
Knowledge of product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent platforms.
