About the Job
We are seeking a strong Technical Scrum Master to lead cross-functional Agile teams delivering technology transformation projects and supporting production environments. This role combines Scrum leadership with project management, technical delivery coordination, and operational governance. The ideal candidate will create actionable dashboards, track team velocity and delivery performance, present progress and risks to senior leaders, and coordinate root cause analysis to improve production stability and delivery predictability.

Position Responsibilities
Transformation and Project Management
- Lead technology transformation projects from planning to go-live, managing scope, schedule, resources, risks, dependencies and financials.
- Keep project plans, release roadmaps, SDLC artifacts and risk and issue logs current, and coordinate testing, deployment and handover to production support.
Agile and Technical Delivery
- Run all Scrum ceremonies and Scrum of Scrums, and coordinate dependencies across dev, QA, architecture, infrastructure, security and DevOps.
- Remove blockers, support technical discussions and coach teams on agile and quality practices.
- Work with Product Owners to balance transformation work against production support demands.
Dashboards and Metrics
- Build dashboards on sprint progress, velocity, capacity, predictability, risk and quality.
- Use delivery trends to forecast and plan capacity, and track support metrics: SLA performance, MTTR, ticket ageing, incident volume and repeat issues.
Production Support and Root Cause Analysis
- Coordinate incident triage, prioritization, escalation and resolution across development teams.
- Lead root cause analysis, track corrective and preventive actions, and get recurring issues into the backlog.
- Keep tickets accurate and updated in Jira, and coordinate releases and changes to keep systems stable.
Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership
- Present incidents and root-cause findings, support trends and risks to senior IT and business leaders.
- Explain technical issues in terms of business impact, and escalate risks with clear recommendations.
- Align teams on priorities and release readiness, mentor team members and help resolve conflicts.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments, including technical delivery and cross-functional team leadership.
- Demonstrated project management experience delivering technology transformation projects in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience creating dashboards and presenting delivery metrics, risks, and recommendations to senior IT leaders.
- Strong knowledge of Agile metrics, including velocity, capacity, throughput, and sprint predictability, with experience using insights to improve delivery.
- Understanding of production support, incident and problem management, service levels, and root cause analysis.
- Solid knowledge of SDLC, test strategies, defect lifecycle, release governance, and technical delivery dependencies.
- Proven skills in risk management, stakeholder reporting, servant leadership, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe, CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certifications.
- Experience in large-scale Agile programs, Release Train environments, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Experience with dashboard and delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Power BI.
- Experience in cloud-native and microservices environments, with familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, test automation, and quality gates; 3+ years working with QA or quality engineering teams.
- Experience in retail, POS, or customer-facing applications; exposure to mobile testing and API testing tools such as Appium, Postman, or REST Assured.
Benefits
Salary Range: $85,000 to $90,000 CAD per year
The final compensation offered will depend on local market conditions and geographic location, as well as job-related factors such as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and education/training. Compensation may also include additional components such as benefits, and/or other incentives, where applicable.
