Location: Highland Valley Copper (HVC) Mine Site (approx. 15 minutes outside Logan Lake, BC)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Wage Range: $53.00 - $65.00/hour plus overtime. High-performing Civil Superintendents can earn $125,000 - $170,000+ annually, depending on project scope, schedule, and overtime opportunities.

As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Site Services Superintendent to support site-wide operations and infrastructure services at Highland Valley Copper Mine near Logan Lake, British Columbia.

About the Role
The Site Services Superintendent is responsible for leading and overseeing site-wide support services, logistics, temporary infrastructure, and operational service delivery at Highland Valley Copper Mine. This role serves as the critical link between the client, procurement teams, site coordinators, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure operational requirements are forecasted, planned, organized, and executed safely and efficiently.
The position plays a key leadership role in forecasting material, equipment, and service requirements, coordinating 24/7 multi-shift operations, and maintaining critical site infrastructure that supports ongoing mining operations. Responsibilities include oversight of temporary facilities, consumable inventories, waste management programs, road maintenance operations, and winter snow and ice control.
Operational demands may shift based on weather conditions, production requirements, mine priorities, and client needs. The successful candidate must be adaptable, proactive, highly organized, and confident making sound decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic operating environment.

Key Responsibilities
Client Interface & Operational Coordination
- Serve as the primary liaison between client representatives, site coordinators, and field crews.
- Coordinate daily operations, site activities, and client-requested scope changes.
- Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports, equipment utilization, and time records.
- Review and approve timecards, LEM reports, shift handovers, and extra work documentation.
- Ensure records support client approvals, commercial tracking, and billing requirements.
Safety Leadership
- Promote and enforce Infracon's Safety. No Excuses. culture across all operations.
- Lead daily tailgate meetings, Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs), workplace inspections, and safety observations.
- Maintain a zero-tolerance approach to unsafe work practices and non-compliance.
- Ensure all activities comply with mine regulations, company policies, and legislative requirements.
- Manage risk in high-traffic work zones, heavy equipment operating areas, night-shift activities, and severe weather conditions.
- Participate in incident investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in British Columbia.
Temporary Facilities & Site Infrastructure
- Oversee mobilization, rigging, placement, leveling, anchoring, servicing, maintenance, and demobilization of skid-mounted modular trailers and temporary facilities.
- Coordinate utility connections including power, water, sewer, and communications systems.
- Manage ongoing maintenance, repairs, and servicing of temporary offices, dry facilities, and common-use infrastructure.
- Ensure site facilities remain safe, operational, and compliant throughout the duration of operations.
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of all active temporary work complexes and support facilities.
Multi-Shift Operations, Logistics & Site Services
- Lead multiple field crews operating across day and night shifts.
- Coordinate structured shift turnovers and maintain accountability across crews and supervisors.
- Oversee inventory replenishment and distribution of site consumables, including fuel, propane, potable water, spill response supplies, and cold-weather materials.
- Direct domestic and industrial waste management operations, including recycling, containment, hazardous waste segregation, and environmental compliance.
- Coordinate snow removal resources.
- Direct road maintenance, grading, snow removal, sanding, and ice-control operations.
- Ensure laydown yards, walkways, maintenance yards, and emergency access corridors remain safe and operational.
- Monitor operational performance and continuously improve service delivery and efficiency.
Leadership & Administration
- Coach, mentor, and support supervisors and field personnel.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, operational stakeholders, and company leadership.
- Participate in operational planning meetings, production coordination discussions, scheduling reviews, and forecasting activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations, safety, logistics, and site services.
- Perform additional duties as required to support site operations and client service requirements.
Experience Required
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in industrial construction, mining, earthworks, site services, or operations support environments.
- Minimum 5+ years in a supervisory or superintendent capacity.
- Experience managing large-scale site services, logistics, infrastructure support, or operational services.
- Experience leading site-wide services within an open-pit mining operation is considered a strong asset.
- Proven ability to collaborate with procurement teams and logistical coordinators to forecast and organize field requirements.
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience reviewing and managing timecards, equipment records, daily reports, LEMs, and billing-related documentation.
- Experience managing modular trailer complexes, temporary facilities, and utility infrastructure.
- Experience coordinating road maintenance, winter operations, snow removal, and equipment dispatch activities.
- Proven ability to lead multi-shift operations in demanding and rapidly changing environments.
- Strong understanding of mining operations support, operational planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and service delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related operational management software.
- Willingness to work shift schedules and support 24/7 site operations as required.

- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean abstract.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
- Valid BC Mine Safety certifications or ability to successfully complete Highland Valley Copper site onboarding requirements.
- Supervisory safety training and leadership certifications are considered an asset.

Work Environment & Compensation
This position is primarily field-based and requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain. The role involves physical activity including standing, walking, bending, and working on active construction sites.
