About INK Entertainment

Operating since 1982, INK Entertainment is a powerhouse in lifestyle, hospitality, and entertainment. We create culture-defining experiences across acclaimed dining destinations (Sofia, Amal, Akira Back, Daphne), luxury nightlife (REBEL, Cabana, DPRTMNT), and major festivals (VELD). We work hard, innovate constantly, and offer unmatched career mobility for people who bring passion to the table.

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Intern for a 5-month contract from January 2027 through May 2027, based fully on-site at our corporate office in Yorkville, Toronto (5 days a week). In this role, you will work alongside our HR team to gain hands-on experience in high-volume recruitment, employee onboarding, venue staffing logistics, and HR administration across our hospitality and lifestyle divisions.

What You’ll Do

Recruitment Support: Help source, screen, and schedule interviews for venue staff, festival teams, and corporate roles across INK properties.
Onboarding & Offboarding: Assist with preparing onboarding documents, background checks, system setups, and welcoming new hires.
HR Records & Compliance: Maintain accurate employee files, update HR databases, and ensure compliance with provincial labor standards (ESA, OSHA).
Employee Relations & Culture: Assist with internal communications, staff engagement initiatives, and responding to general HR inquiries from venue employees.
Administrative Operations: Draft HR correspondence, organize digital training materials, and support special projects across payroll, benefits, and health & safety.

What We’re Looking For

Availability: Must be able to work full-time, on-site 5 days a week at our Yorkville corporate office for the duration of the contract (January 2027 – May 2027).
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Post-Secondary Program in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Passion for hospitality, nightlife, events, or lifestyle brands.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential employee information.
Proficient with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; experience with HRIS or Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., BambooHR, 7shifts) is an asset.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

Global Career Pathways & Mobility: Cross-training opportunities across INK Entertainment venues, with room to grow into leadership roles locally and globally.
Perks & Discounts: Dining discounts across all INK Entertainment venues, early event access.
Culture & Mentorship: Direct guidance from leaders, structured skill development, and a supportive team environment.

Compensation: $20 an hour
