Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) / Audiology Clinic Assistant

Innisfil Hearing Centre is a locally owned, independent adult hearing clinic serving Innisfil, Angus, and surrounding Simcoe County communities since 2012. We are looking for a warm, capable Communicative Disorders Assistant to join our patient-first team.

This is a hands-on clinical support role - not a high-pressure sales position. You will help patients feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely supported throughout their hearing-care journey.

Location: Innisfil, ON and Angus, ON

Job type: Permanent, part-time; approximately 24–32 hours per week, with potential for full-time for the right candidate

Schedule: Weekday daytime hours

Pay: based on experience

What you’ll do

Support adult hearing assessments by completing patient intake and appropriate audiometric testing procedures within your training, competency, and clinic protocols; document results for clinician review.

Welcome, orient, and support hearing-aid users with cleaning, care, batteries/charging, accessories, Bluetooth/app basics, and practical day-to-day use.

Complete basic in-clinic hearing-aid troubleshooting and repairs, including cleaning, wax guards, tubing, receivers, and manufacturer repair coordination.

Prepare paperwork, organize patient records, assist with warranty and funding documentation, and maintain accurate, confidential files.

Keep hearing-aid supplies, loaner devices, and clinic equipment organized.

Provide light reception coverage, including greeting patients, answering phones, booking appointments, processing payments, scanning/faxing, and helping keep the day running smoothly.

Work collaboratively with the Hearing Instrument Specialist and reception team across both clinic locations.

Uphold PHIPA privacy standards and provide every patient with kind, respectful care.

What we’re looking for

Diploma in Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) from a recognized program, or equivalent audiology-assistant training.

Experience in an audiology or hearing clinic is strongly preferred but open to train the right new gradutate

Comfortable supporting adult audiometric testing and hearing-aid orientations.

Experience with hearing-aid maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and manufacturer processes is an asset.

Excellent communication skills, patience, professionalism, and comfort working with older adults.

Strong organization, computer, and medical-documentation skills; experience with Blueprint OMS is an asset.

Reliable transportation and the ability to work at both our Innisfil and Angus locations.

A positive, practical team player who notices what needs doing and follows through.
