Position Title: Agile Delivery Lead

Contract: 6 month contract with High possibility for extensions

Location: Calgary, 3 days a week in office

Rate: $70-$75/hr

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Lead for a 6 month contract with a likelihood of extensions to lead a complex data and application modernization initiative. A successful candidate must be located in Calgary, and is required to go into the office 3 days a week. This role is responsible for owning Agile delivery execution, driving development governance, managing project planning and stakeholder communications, and ensuring high-quality delivery across business, data, integration, application, vendor, and operations teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong Agile leadership, hands-on technical delivery experience, and the ability to challenge development teams on estimates, solution design, quality standards, and delivery commitments while maintaining momentum toward business outcomes

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience delivering technology or business transformation initiatives

• 5+ years of experience as an Agile Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, Delivery Manager, or similar role

• Experience leading cross-functional software development teams in complex enterprise environments

• Strong Agile delivery management experience including sprint planning, backlog management, release planning, and dependency management

• Prior hands-on experience in software development, application delivery, data engineering, systems integration, or technical delivery leadership

• Ability to challenge development estimates, solution designs, coding standards, test quality, technical debt, and delivery progress

• Strong project management skills including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, governance, and executive reporting

• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Background in data modernization, data platforms, or enterprise integration initiatives

• Demonstrated success improving Agile maturity, team accountability, and delivery predictability across organizations

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMP, or similar certification

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field

• Experience within energy, utilities, industrial operations, transportation, aviation, financial services, or other regulated industries

• Knowledge of software architecture, APIs, system integrations, cloud platforms, DevOps, automated testing, and CI/CD practices

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, Microsoft Project, or similar delivery tools

• Experience coaching Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Project Managers, and technical teams
