Required Skills & Experience Qualifications

Typically 3 to 6 years of relevant experience. Experience may come from banking, insurance, financial services, technology implementation, client service, project coordination, operations, or a related field
FLUENT in both French and English (both written and verbal)
Experience helping clients, coordinating projects, implementing products or technology, solving service issues, or managing detailed processes is valuable.
A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, technology, or a related field is required. Another field of study or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may also be considered.
Comfort learning new systems and explaining information to clients and colleagues.
The final grade will reflect the scope and complexity of the role and the candidate’s relevant experience.

Job Description - Bilingual Client Onboarding Advisor

Team Overview

At BMO, Client Services & Implementation helps businesses begin using the banking solutions they need to operate and grow. Our Treasury and Payment Solutions team supports commercial and capital markets clients with account opening, digital banking, payments, cash management, product setup, training, and ongoing service. We bring together colleagues from Sales, Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Client Service to make onboarding clear, coordinated, and easy for clients. Our work combines strong relationships, thoughtful problem solving, responsible risk management, and technology enabled improvement.

Role Overview

As a Client Onboarding Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for clients as they open commercial bank accounts and begin using BMO Treasury and Payment Solutions. You will guide the onboarding experience from start to finish, coordinate both core and more complex products, and make sure clients understand what is needed at each step. The work includes gathering information, planning the implementation, coordinating setup and testing, providing training, solving problems, and helping clients move smoothly into ongoing service. You do not need to know every product on day one. You will learn through training, experience, and support from colleagues while building trusted client relationships.

What You Will Do

Acts as the main point of contact for clients throughout onboarding and provides clear updates, guidance, and next steps.
Coordinates commercial account opening, including required client information, legal documents, approvals, and internal handoffs.
Manages the setup of core and complex Treasury and Payment Solutions, such as digital banking access, domestic and international payments, cash management services, file based services, and system connections.
Creates practical onboarding plans with clear activities, owners, milestones, risks, and target dates.
Brings together clients and partners from Sales, Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Customer Success, and Client Service to keep work moving.
Explains product requirements, setup steps, and technical information in language that clients can easily understand.
Coordinates configuration, testing, and readiness checks before products are launched.
Provides or coordinates client training so users understand how to use their new solutions confidently.
Identifies missing information, risks, delays, and other barriers, then works with the right partners to resolve them.
Keeps client records, setup instructions, approvals, and implementation information accurate, complete, and ready for review.
Supports a smooth transition to ongoing service after onboarding is complete.
Uses client feedback, data, automation, artificial intelligence, and other tools to suggest practical improvements to the onboarding experience.
Shares knowledge with colleagues and may provide guidance to others based on experience and role level.
Handles work with increasing independence based on experience, complexity, and grade, and asks for support when a matter requires additional authority or expertise.
May support other business priorities and related responsibilities as needed.
Makes thoughtful decisions that support clients while protecting BMO. Follows applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and risk requirements, and raises concerns when additional guidance or approval is needed
