Datacenter Technician II
Prince George and Mackenzie, BC
$49.89-$64.15/hr CAD per hour + $120 CAD in daily per diem
3 weeks on / 1 week off (flexible)
6 month contract high possibility of extension
Housing provided (hotel or man camp depending on site location)
All travel will be coordinated will be coordinated and covered by client
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–3+ years of experience in data center, telecom, or IT infrastructure environments
- Hands-on experience with cabling, hardware installation, equipment replacement, and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of structured cabling and data center best practices
- Troubleshoot Layer 1 and Layer 2 connectivity issues across network and server environments
- Diagnose and resolve server, hardware, cabling, and connectivity issues in production environments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or other networking certifications
- Experience troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, or similar networking environments
- Experience consoling into network devices and performing basic network configurations
- Knowledge of Layer 2 switching technologies, VLANs, STP, and port troubleshooting

Responsibilities
Install and replace data center hardware and cabling, and troubleshoot server, network, and connectivity issues in production environments. Diagnose Layer 1 and Layer 2 problems across network and server environments, including port and switching issues.
Requirements
Candidates need 2–3 or more years of experience in data center, telecom, or IT infrastructure environments, with hands-on cabling, hardware installation, replacement, and troubleshooting experience. A strong understanding of structured cabling and data center practices is required; networking certifications and experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or Palo Alto environments are preferred.
