Insight Global is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to support a critical trading technology modernization initiative within a highly regulated financial services environment. The team is currently transitioning from an internally developed pre-trade compliance platform to Bloomberg's compliance management solution. As part of this transformation, they are building a proxy service that will integrate Bloomberg with multiple upstream trading applications and modernize existing order management workflows.
This consultant will play a key role in designing and developing API-driven solutions, helping migrate legacy MQ-based integrations, and supporting real-time trade validation and order submission processes. The ideal candidate will have experience within trading technology environments, strong backend development expertise, and the ability to contribute to architectural discussions while navigating ambiguity and complex business requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of C#/.NET development experience
Strong experience building and supporting RESTful APIs
Hands-on experience with message queues and MQ-to-API modernization projects
Experience working within trading technology environments
Cloud experience (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP acceptable)
Strong architectural and solution design capabilities
Strong understanding of the trading lifecycle
Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments with minimal oversight
Strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving skills
Experience leveraging AI and modern development tools to improve delivery and productivity
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Bloomberg experience
Exposure to fixed income trading workflows
Experience with FIX Protocol
Understanding of audit controls and financial services regulatory requirements
Experience modernizing legacy trading applications and messaging platforms
Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub deployment pipelines
