Functional Lead

Insight Global is seeking a Functional Lead to support one of the world's leading agriculture companies on a contract until June 2028. Based in Calgary (3 days/week onsite, Tu-Thu), this individual will own a product workstream, acting as the bridge between operations, business stakeholders, and technical teams. This is a highly hands-on role responsible for leading discovery, gathering requirements, designing solutions, driving adoption, and ensuring measurable business value. The successful candidate will lead a cross-functional pod and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal structure. Travel of approximately 6-20 weeks annually is required. Candidates must possess a valid passport.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years of experience in Product Delivery, Product Ownership, Functional Leadership, Business Analysis, or Digital Transformation

• Proven experience owning business solutions from discovery through implementation and value realization

• Strong Business Analysis background with expertise in requirements gathering, workshops, process design, business rules, and functional specifications

• Ability to translate operational/business problems into system requirements, KPIs, decision logic, and technology solutions

• Experience working directly with operational leaders, Directors, and VPs

• Hands-on delivery mindset; comfortable getting into requirements, solution design, and problem-solving

• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills - Experience using Visio for process mapping and solution design

• Comfortable working in ambiguity with limited process and governance

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Consulting background (Deloitte, Accenture, PwC, EY, KPMG, IBM Consulting, etc.)

• Experience as a Senior Product Manager, Product Owner, Delivery Lead, Business Architect, or Consulting Manager

• Supply chain, logistics, inventory visibility, or operations transformation experience

• Tank monitoring, IoT, asset tracking, telemetry, or inventory management experience

• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or enterprise reporting solutions

• Experience creating playbooks, frameworks, and repeatable delivery standards

Pay: 80-100/hr
