  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and support an experienced IT Specialist; triage and delegate technical support requests while establishing service standards across the organization.
  • Digital Security & Compliance: Act as the primary owner of the organization's cybersecurity posture, implementing security policies, monitoring threats through Microsoft Defender, managing access controls, and leading incident response efforts.
  • Microsoft Enterprise Administration: Provide hands-on administration of the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Contract & Vendor Management: Manage IT vendors, software licensing, and service agreements to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  • Disaster Recovery & Backups: Maintain backup systems and develop, test, and improve disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Issue Remediation & Escalations: Conduct root-cause analysis and lead remediation efforts for technical issues, outages, and security incidents.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5 to 7+ years of progressive IT operations experience, including 1 to 3+ years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies, including Azure Cloud, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
  • Strong background in cybersecurity, including threat monitoring, endpoint protection (Microsoft Defender), access management, and incident response.
  • Experience managing networking, corporate infrastructure, and virtualized server environments (VMware and/or Hyper-V).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and delegate work to technical team members while remaining hands-on in daily operations.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
