Original job description

JOB DESCRIPTION: $45-$56/hour - 12 month contract with extensions - Hybrid 2-3x/week

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Marketing Project Manager to support a fast-paced Digital Marketing team for one of our top banking clients. This role is responsible for managing a high volume of concurrent marketing initiatives, coordinating across marketing, creative, technology, and production teams, and ensuring projects move efficiently through established workflows and governance processes.

Success in this role requires exceptional organization, stakeholder management, and operational discipline. The ideal candidate thrives in a deadline-driven environment, can manage competing priorities simultaneously, and acts as the central point of coordination between business stakeholders, marketers, developers, and creative teams.

This is not a traditional project management role focused primarily on budget ownership. Instead, it is a highly operational role centered on driving execution, managing timelines, navigating scope changes, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and accurately.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Project & Workflow Management

· 5+ years of experience managing projects within a marketing, digital, or creative environment

· Proven ability to manage 20+ concurrent projects simultaneously

· Experience supporting high-volume, fast-turnaround workstreams with competing priorities

· Strong ability to prioritize and reprioritize work in a rapidly changing environment

· Experience navigating scope changes, timeline adjustments, and shifting stakeholder requirements

· Demonstrated ability to identify risks, remove roadblocks, and maintain project momentum

Stakeholder Management & Communication

· Strong relationship-building and communication skills across business, marketing, creative, and technology teams

· Ability to confidently challenge assumptions, negotiate timelines, and manage stakeholder expectations

· Proven experience leading difficult conversations and driving alignment among competing priorities

· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

· Ability to operate independently and make sound decisions without excessive escalation

Marketing Operations Experience

· Experience working within enterprise marketing organizations

· Understanding of campaign execution, creative development, production workflows, and digital marketing operations

· Experience supporting projects through defined governance and approval processes

· Strong understanding of process-driven execution and operational excellence

Tools & Technology

· Hands-on experience using enterprise project management platforms, including:

o Workfront (strongly preferred)

o Monday.com

o Asana

o Jira or similar project management tools

· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Desired Characteristics

· Highly organized and detail-oriented

· Type-A personality with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

· Self-starter who can work with minimal direction

· Comfortable managing ambiguity and changing priorities

· Strong sense of urgency and follow-through

· Able to balance stakeholder needs while maintaining project governance and timelines

· Collaborative but confident when pushing back on unrealistic timelines or scope requests

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Financial services or banking industry experience

· Workfront administration or advanced Workfront experience

· Understanding of HTML and digital marketing production processes

· Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC)

· Experience working with developers, QA teams, and digital production teams

· Experience supporting Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
